The Institute for Outdoor Learning (IOL) http://www.outdoor-learning.org/
The IOL website has a regularly updated job section, advertising mostly UK-based jobs (often with good salaries), as well as having an overseas section. This is one of my first ports of call when looking at starting another season in the outdoors. It’s worth noting that teaching and lecturing jobs are often posted here too.
Blue Dome http://www.bluedome.co.uk/
Blue Dome has lots of different categories of outdoor jobs, from entry level positions through to management jobs. The site also has a category for outdoor trade jobs, for those wanting to work in retail and beyond. Much like IOL, most of the advertised jobs will be UK based, but there are regular overseas postings too.
Explorers Connect http://www.explorersconnect.com/
Explorers Connect is where you will find mostly overseas work in interesting conditions. There’s often adverts on the site for work in the Arctic, desert and jungle, if you’re looking for something different to the norm. Also, you’ll find requests for team members to join research expeditions all over the world.
Outdoor Staff http://www.outdoorstaff.co.uk
Outdoor staff s a great site to find work in the UK, but most of the big companies in Europe will advertise here too. The site has a search function as well, allowing you to search for the area or type of job that you are looking for.
Season Workers http://www.seasonworkers.com/
Season workers has lots of different jobs – not all in the outdoor industry, but many that will appeal to outdoors enthusiasts and those that like to travel for work. As well as both summer and winter season jobs, there are also adverts for TEFL vacancies.
Good luck job hunting!
